How to get listed - Installers
Consumers should require that the equipment is installed by an installer who is trained and experienced in installing renewable energy systems, and who follows professional business practices. SEAI will facilitate consumers by maintaining a list of installers who qualify for use under the grant scheme. In the first instance, the installer must sign up to the Quality Assurance Mechanism, agree to dispute resolution through arbitration, agree to inspection, and provide a current tax clearance certificate.
Please Note: The registration process takes one week and updating of the website listing occurs weekly.
Initially requirements for eligibility for the list of installers include:
Signed Statement of Compliance indicating:
Must be a qualified and certified installer in each technology that they are registered. Have achieved certification from an accredited training course in each of the technology areas they wish to work and supplied SEAI with the certificate.
Have supplied SEAI with a valid tax clearance certificate
Have accepted a condition of entering appropriate arbitration processes in the event of a dispute
Have agreed to have installations inspected by SEAI or its agents and to abide by direction as a result of such inspections.
Have agreed to become members of a recognised trade association of installers once such an association is formed.
In addition to the above, the installer is asked to provide additional information, if available, and on a voluntary basis to include:
Case studies detailing previous installations
Customer references regarding previous installations
