We have far too many poor quality, draughty homes in Ireland. The priority for Government is to improve the thermal efficiency of as many of those homes as possible. |

| 2.4.2013 | SEAI announce details of two new Programmes to support energy efficiency in communities | Better Energy Communities will provide funding for innovative and pioneering partnerships to achieve energy efficiency within Irish communities.
Better Energy Warmer Homes Area Based Programme will provide funding for projects which deliver energy savings to vulnerable homeowners and communities.
Both schemes will seek applications in 2013 and workshops to assist applicants will be held at SEAI’s Energy Show in the RDS on April 10th.

| 8.3.2013 | 4,000 jobs maintained and €35 million annual energy savings achieved | Issuing its Statement of Achievements for 2012, the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) reports a significant year of progress on the sustainable energy agenda where 4,000 jobs were maintained in the construction and energy service industries and €35 million worth of energy savings achieved. |
