The Conway family

Co. Dublin

Residents:                        Four - two parents and two teenagers
House:                              Semi-detached 1970s; cavity block construction

Overview:

The Conway family had a nasty habit of leaving lights on all the time! Due to their house being built in the 1960s and not having the best insulation, one of their biggest challenges for the Conways was space heating.

The Conway’s began their 1st challenge by switching off the central heating during the day, which Joe would have on whenever he worked from home. Instead of heating the whole house he would use a small portable heater in his office, and if it was a mild day he would not use any heater at all.
