Date: November 2007
Summary: Security of Supply is the third SEAI/EPSSU report on this theme. The report aggregates and organises a wide range of indicators or metrics into one focused document. It is designed to provide a context for informed action and decision-making in the area of energy SOS.
New analysis is also contained in the form of three pieces of cutting-edge research. Specifically these are; an examination of the value of lost load, incorporating risk into power sector investment analysis and a recalculation (with newer data) of the supply/demand index of SOS. This analytical work is intended to better underpin our understanding of Ireland’s SOS.
