This material is covered in six units of work:

Unit 5: Heat: Quantity of heat.
Unit 6: Heat transfer

Each unit is subdivided into four steps:

1. Knowledge check
2. Learn it
3. Test yourself
4. Revision summary

There are several ways that you could use this resource in your teaching:

1. Use the printer-friendly version to make up revision handouts for your students.
2. Most students have access to a computer, so you could set them a unit as revision homework and test them yourself the next day.
3. If you have access to a computer room, you could let your students work through the material at their own pace.
4. If you have access to a data projector and computer in the laboratory, you could use the material as a direct teaching resource.

As Energy is a topic that permeates practically the whole of the Physics course it is not possible to cover it all. However, it is hoped that this site will help your students to develop an effective revision method that they could use in the other parts of the course.
