The Sandwich Stops

The Sandwich Stops were 2nd year students from Loreto High School in Beaufort. Their campaign was aimed at increasing the number of students that cycled to school. They were concerned with the number of parents that dropped their children to school. They felt that students were deterred from cycling by the amount of parents parking and congesting the school gates. As part of their project they surveyed the amount of parents that drove to school and handed out penalty points to the parents that regularly congested the entrance. They even got the Gardai involved! By doing so they increased the amount of 1st year students (target audience) that cycled to school from 18% to 35%.
