IS393 Technical Assessors Course

The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland have developed a technical oriented course to support companies within the Energy Agreements programme, their consultants and certification bodies. It aims to give those who will have responsibility for the technical operation of an IS393 energy management system an understanding of how the technical elements of an Energy Management System are implemented and certified against the requirements of IS393. This course focuses mainly on the Energy Aspect elements but also includes a short overview of the management system elements. A high degree of technical prior knowledge of energy management is a prerequisite for this course.

Course Format

The course concentrates on the core requirement to conduct a detailed Review of Energy Aspects in accordance with Clause 4.31 of the IS393 Standard. It will also present best-practice techniques for conducting energy reviews, setting energy performance indicators and targets, monitoring and measuring, lessons learnt from Special Investigations and how to design for energy efficiency.
