In recent surveys, over 80% of Citi employees stated that they are proud to be working for an organisation so committed to environmental sustainability and as a result, over 91% of the employees surveyed now admit to undertaking at least one energy saving action per day.

Citi Ireland commenced the energy awareness campaign over 3 years ago, in 2009, it built upon previous year’s successes, setting new targets and in addition to embracing a strict energy management regime. Efforts focus on ensuring long-term behavioural change amongst the 2,200 employees, tenants and partners (service providers, suppliers, vendors etc.) at the facility.

Success is attributed to a combination of a strong awareness campaign that has contributed to distinct behavioural swing towards environmental sustainability, an in-depth programme of managing building and equipment energy utilisation and a supporting real estate strategy.
