Project Description

The project has four main objectives: 1) Synthesise and analyse available research on negative emission technologies and their application and implications for Ireland; 2) Carry out a detailed assessment of the bioenergy potential in Ireland; 3) Critically review and update lifecycle assessments of greenhouse gas emissions in bioenergy production in Ireland and 4) Assess the potential role of negative emission technologies on energy policy in Ireland, and potential infrastructure requirements.
