Project Description

The aim of this project is to collate and analyse the most up-to-date research, technical papers, case studies and literature relating to the correct design and specification of deep retrofit of traditional buildings in order to develop best practice guidance. Four seminars will also be organised around the country to engage specifiers, local stakeholders, building sector representatives, local authorities and other interested parties in the process. The project lead, The Heritage Council, will be supported be the ICOMOS Ireland National Scientific Committee on Energy, Sustainability and Climate Change and Carrig Conservation International Ltd.
