Project Description

This project focuses on the cultivation of crops on cutaway peat and to determine the optimum crop establishment methods while also assessing the biomass suitability for a range of RES-H briquettes, composting and AD feedstock. It is phase 1 of a potential three phase project and will also evaluate the commercial viability and scalability of the crop usage in Ireland and determine the carbon impact from cultivation/harvesting/transportation.
