Project Description

This project involves collaboration with heat users (DkIT, Xerox, Paypal, Ebay, Heinz) in the greater Dundalk area to access the possibilities of the optimisation of the heat through thermal storage (shifting of energy for heating and/or cooling purposes). The project will build a spatial model of the energy supply system that baselines data usage. The GIS model developed will map energy usage and aggregate demand across buildings, assesses efficiency factors for converting and storing energy, and identify the balance of energy for heat and electricity.
