Day 1 and 2: Discover Primary Science and Maths
The course will include hands-on sessions. These are based around the DPSM/ESERO Framework for Inquiry and a range of classroom based activities. They have all been developed, tested and used widely by primary school teachers. The course will benefit those planning and teaching a topic or theme on the SESE Science curriculum.
Day 3 and 4: SEAI Schools Programme
SEAI's Primary programme was developed by DCU St Patrick's College. It is designed to support children develop their knowledge about energy, energy efficiency and conservation within SESE curriculum. Over the two days, you will complete hands on activities and explore energy and science in a real world way. This will help learn how and why we need to develop new ways of looking at our energy resources.
Resources include programme booklets, interactive whiteboard resources and teacher guidelines. All of the investigations and activities are directly related to the strand units content of the Primary Science Curriculum.
On the final day of the course we will bring you on a field trip. Here you will experience first hand energy or science related activity in action.
