The National Energy Retrofit Programme has been established to drive energy efficiency improvements in all sectors. The programme will be centred on engaging market actors to deliver upgrades efficiently and effectively, including finding new models for retrofitting housing within communities and urban settings.

In this seminar, Ken Klassen, Doug Pollard and Jay Stuart discussed recent Canadian and Irish experiences with a focus on innovative planning and retrofit projects to establish sustainable communities.

This event was part of a series of seminars on technical and policy aspects of energy efficiency organised by SEAI to stimulate debate among stakeholders.
