Programme Manager for bioenergy and CHP
Matthew is programme manager for bioenergy and Combined Heat and Power at the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland. He joined SEAI in 2009 having previously worked in the power generation section of the ESB. Matthew has a background in mechanical engineering and environmental economics and holds a PhD in energy policy modelling from UCC. During his time at SEAI has worked on variety of sustainable energy projects in bioenergy, heat and electricity – most recently providing analytical input to the design of a renewable heat policy for Ireland. Matthew is also the Irish representative on the International Energy Agency’s research collaboration on bioenergy.
