SEAI has three energy upgrade options

Whether you want to improve one area or completely upgrade your home, we have grant options available.

Individual energy upgrades

  • Choose individual grants based on the upgrades you want to make
  • Manage your own project or have the project managed for you
  • For all homeowners, including landlords
Better Energy Homes and Solar PV

Complete home energy upgrade

  • Complete a range of upgrades to achieve a minimum BER B2
  • Fully managed by a registered One Stop Shop
  • Grant deducted from cost of works upfront
National Home Energy Upgrade Scheme

Fully funded energy upgrades

  • If you receive eligible welfare payments
  • For homes built and occupied before 2006
  • Works recommended by an SEAI surveyor
