Find the support and guidance you need to successfully deliver retrofit work through our One Shop Shop grant scheme.

Registered One Stop Shop providers

Once registered, One Stop Shop (OSS) providers will have access to a designated OSS SharePoint page, designed to support you through the One Stop Shop process. There, you will find a full range of guidance and support documents to help you process grants for your customers.

Our online portal is where registered One Stop Shops providers can manage grant applications and payment requests. Check the OSS Scheme Documents for our Web Portal User Guide.

Designer / Installer Lead Approach

Phase 1. Application of Programme Specific Heat Loss Indicator Flexibility

The Heat Loss Indicator (HLI) requirement threshold of 2.3 W/K.m2 or less, for a property to be eligible for a heat pump grant no longer applies to the installation of heat pumps on the following programmes:

  • National Home Energy Upgrade Scheme (One Stop Shop scheme)
  • Community Energy Grant Programme.
  • Warmer Homes Scheme

This is phase one of a Designer / Installer lead approach to determining heat pump grant eligibility. This is supported by a focus on a whole house retrofit design approach that considers potential fabric upgrades and a heat system design.

Other factors supporting the Designer/Installer led approach are as follows.

  • Increased market maturity and awareness of industry standards.
  • Increased focus on appropriate design, sizing, installation standards, commissioning, set up and maintenance.
  • System performance analysis of real-world data under varying heat loss conditions.
  • On-going development of quality assurance structures.

Guidance documents

These guidance documents will support you and your organisation as a One Stop Shop. Learn everything from the rules of the One Stop Shop scheme, to how you can process Home Energy Assessments and retrofit works.

All One Stop Shops must be familiar with the terms and conditions of the Operational Grant rules. Registered One Stop Shops are responsible for ensuring that all relevant staff members, sub-contractors, partners, and clients are up-to-date in their understanding of the guidelines.

This document sets out the minimum requirements reflected in each One Stop Shop Customer Agreement. All One Stop Shops are required to implement these minimum requirements in all One Stop Shop Customer Agreements.

This sample Home Energy Assessment (HEA) shows you what carrying out an energy assessment as a One Stop Shop looks like.

All registered One Stop Shop providers can access a full HEA guide which can be found in the onboarding pack.

This document is a template Declaration of Works (DoW) form which needs to be completed and submitted when retrofit works are completed as part of the One Stop Shop scheme.

As part of the onboarding process, a member of the SEAI grants team will provide you with a demonstration of how to complete the Declaration of Works form

R290 High Temperature Heat Pump Pilot

Guidance for One Stop Shops

This pilot is aimed at installing high temperature heat pumps (HTHP) in 100 homes to evaluate system performance, energy use, indoor comfort levels and heating patterns. This data will also help to assess the overall efficiency, running costs and performance of HTHPs for different home types. This pilot will be delivered through registered One Stop Shops. If you are working on a home that would be suited to this pilot, please get in touch.

Guidance for Traditional Homes Pilot contractors

Homeowners of traditionally built homes can now apply for grant support through the One Stop Shop service. This work will be delivered through our registered One Stop Shops, supported by a homeowner appointed Traditional Building Professional engaged from the outset of the project. We have created this playlist to provide information for One Stop Shops interested in taking part in the pilot.
