CPD for Primary Teachers – 2025/2026 School Year

We’ve teamed up with the Irish Schools Sustainability Network to offer Primary Teachers CPD workshops during this school year. In these one-hour sessions, we’ll show you how sustainable energy can ignite curiosity in your pupils, encouraging them to learn and save energy from an early age. Whether you’re interested in finding out about our resources for teaching energy efficiency and renewables in the primary classroom, what's involved in an SEAI pupil workshops (tailored for junior and senior primary) and how to book, or keen to start action projects in your school, these webinars are for you.   You’ll also discover how to access your school's energy data – and how it can be used it as a real-world example when teaching numeracy.

Teachers attending may consider joining us for our face-to-face event at Mount Lucas wind farm.

CPD for Post Primary Teachers - 2026

Sustainable Energy in Action at Mount Lucas with SEAI & the Irish Schools Sustainability network

Thank you to all the teachers who joined us at Mount Lucas Wind Farm and the Nearly ZeroEnergy Training Centre for our recent inperson CPD session. It was a very enjoyable day, with great discussion and shared learning throughout.  Here’s what some of the teachers said:

Fantastic workshop - would highly recommend it to everyone.

Brilliant location and brilliant informative sessions. Thank you all!

The session was amazing, I feel really enthusiastic after completing it. I have loads of ideas that I think will be of benefit to my school.

It was fantastic to see such strong engagement from participants, with lots of thoughtful questions and ideas shared across the group. We hope everyone left feeling supported, inspired and confident to bring sustainable energy learning into their teaching.

If you couldn’t join us this time, keep an eye out for future CPD opportunities at Mount Lucas, or online sessions later in the year.

We’ve shared a key document from the day on changing behaviour based on Ireland’s Behavioural Energy and Travel Tracker.

Absolutely wonderful workshop by Una. Have recommended the workshop to all of my colleagues
