To join the BER assessor register, assessors must complete BER training with a listed training provider. See how to get listed as a training provider.
Domestic BER training providers
Apply to be a listed training provider
We list recognised training as part of domestic assessor registration. Interested in listing your QQI accredited BER training programme? Send the following information to [email protected].
A letter about your programme
Send us a letter on headed notepaper, signed by an authorised signatory. It should state:
- You accept the requirements for training programmes and the Occupational Standard. Confirm that your programme will run in accordance with these documents.
- The National Education & Training Accreditation body who authorise you to provide the training.
- The body who will confer a BER assessment award to learners who complete your programme.
- The level of the award issued on successful completion of the programme. This is as recognised by the National Accreditation body.
The letter should also outline your processes for:
- Compliance with the requirements for training programmes and Occupational Standard.
- Quality assurance to ensure training and marking is to high standards.
- How all trainers meet SEAI requirements.

Supporting documentation
Alongside your letter, you will also need to send:
- A copy of your procedure to determine equivalence and recognise prior learning.
- A copy of your BER training programme material.
- A completed Training Providers Information Form.
