Project Description
This project seeks to improve and enhance existing international linkages with Research Centres of renown in the marine, robotics, materials, biofuels, informatics and renewable energy areas, in order to achieve a leading position for Ireland in Marine Renewable Energy (MRE). The project also seeks to fund increased participation in international conferences by MaREI researchers at Postdoctoral and PhD levels and the development of an applied training course for MRE device developers based on the world-class facilities being developed at the Beaufort Building at University College Cork. The funding requested will help MaREI researchers to disseminate and collaborate with leading international academics, to improve industrial connections and impacts, and thus achieve and exceed the MaREI Centre KPIs.
