Project Description
This project involves an assessment of the effect of distribution losses on the Irish electricity network from the widespread implementation of the smart grid automation solution at wind farms across Ireland. The Grantee will model the distribution network losses reduction potential (in GWh and kt CO2 ) from Smart Grid Automation Solution on the Irish electrical grid. This model involves simulations from wind farm connection topologies that utilise real network data and historical wind and demand profile data to determine loss reduction potential.
