The DIFOWT project builds on the knowledge of the SIMREI project with the aim of ultimately de-risking the floating offshore wind industry in Ireland. High-risk areas that will be investigated include: 1. Port & wet storage capacity 2. Vessels and workforce 3. Installation rates & ORESS2 Longstop 4. I,O&M weather restrictions 5. Farm availability 6. LCOE sensitivity 7. Energy Storage.
