Project Description
Wide-scale renewable gas blending is still expected to be challenging as if left unmanaged. The proposed research will further develop advanced models to evaluate scenarios for the inclusion of green hydrogen to assess the limitations of Ireland’s different end-users for accepting hydrogen concentration. In particular, the models will consider how to incorporate hydrogen from multiple injection points and maintain acceptable gas quality in the pipelines. An optimal model will be created to determine the carbon reduction potential as well as the potential economic issues to satisfy end-users energy requirements.
