Project Description
There is a growing demand to deploy high performance batteries for electric vehicles (EVs) and portable electronic devices. This project finds a way to develop scalable and high energy battery electrodes making them technology greener and cheaper, and a real commercial possibility. The outcome of this project will be directly relevant to the goals associated with Ireland 2050 Energy Strategy of sustainable energy systems for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the transport and industry sectors. This project aligns within the STEM discipline to deliver excellence in research and has potential impact in technology, socio-economic, international engagement and education.
