Project Description

This project aims to develop advanced manufacturing and design approaches for offshore composite hydrogen tanks. It will be driven by a comprehensive viability assessment of hydrogen production from dedicated offshore wind farms in Ireland. It will calculate wind power output, electrolysis plant size, and hydrogen production from time-varying wind resources. Conceptual designs of offshore composite hydrogen tanks will be developed to contribute to the advancement of offshore hydrogen storage technology.
