Project Description
The research will benefit communities who seek to participate in renewable energy and the private industry. This research will respond to gaps in planning practice and expertise in relation to the deployment of solar technologies in large schemes in Ireland. We will deliver best practice approach to:
1. Site Selection, 2. Glint & Glare, 3. Landscape and Visual, 4. Traffic and Transportation, 5. Biodiversity and 6. Archaeology.
The Fact Sheets prepared will enhance the capacity of planning authorities and communities to consider the deployment of solar energy infrastructure.
