Grants for homeowners in receipt of certain Department of Social Protection payments
SEAI now offer a suite of higher grant amounts for homeowners in receipt of certain DSP social welfare payments, while still giving you the option of applying for free energy upgrades.
Are you in receipt of any of the following DSP welfare payments?
- Fuel Allowance as part of the National Fuel Scheme
- Job Seekers Allowance for over six months and have child under seven years of age
- Working Family Payment
- One-Parent Family Payment
- Domiciliary Care Allowance
- Carers Allowance and live with the person you are caring for
- Disability Allowance for over six months and have a child under seven years of age
If you answered YES to one or more of the above DSP welfare payments, you are eligible to apply for Higher Grant amounts or the SEAI Managed Upgrades under Warmer Homes.
Choose the grant route that is right for you
If you are looking for home energy upgrades and you are in receipt of certain welfare payments, SEAI can now offer you different options depending on your needs. If you want to start your home upgrade immediately and choose your own measures, the higher grant route may be most suitable. Alternatively, if you would prefer for SEAI to manage the project, you may wish to apply for the free energy upgrades covered under the Warmer Homes Scheme.
