Your SEAI mentor supports your Sustainable Energy Community as you move through the different stages of development, from early planning to project delivery.

Meeting your mentor

Once you join the Sustainable Energy Community (SEC) network, your local SEAI mentor will contact you to introduce themselves. In many cases, you may already be familiar with your mentor, as they are often involved in engaging new communities.

Community Planning

The mentor programme

There is a community mentor located in each county, working within one of four regional areas supported by a regional coordinator. This means you get the opportunity to learn from other local communities and get guidance on your next steps from an experienced mentor.

This provides capacity and resources as close to the communities as possible. The mentors also provide your feedback to SEAI to help us improve the programme and develop supports best suited to your needs.

Supports offered

SEAI mentors offer a range of supports, delivered in ways that suit your community and what is available locally.
