New simplified BER scale

A to G

A simplified Building Energy Rating (BER) scale for both domestic and non-domestic properties will be introduced from 24th May 2026. The simplification of the BER scale will align Ireland's energy performance standards for buildings with other European countries allowing for greater comparability across the EU.
