How to get a BER assessment on your home

BER assessments are carried out by SEAI registered BER Assessors. BER Assessors are skilled professionals who will conduct a survey of your home to assess the building fabric and to determine the amount of energy your home requires for heating, hot water and ventilation, and lighting.

Before a BER assessor visits your home, you will need to prepare for your assessment. Find out how using our Homeowners Checklist.

SEAI maintains a list of all fully registered BER Assessors. Following your assessment your BER Assessor will be able to recommend the best energy saving improvements for your home, as well and providing you with your BER Certificate and an Advisory Report.
